CARTA Bus Stop

As our cities population grows, so has the need for reliable and safe public transportation. This 8-hour community workshop, sponsored by Charleston Moves, Enough Pie and Grow Foods Carolina, was to create a visually stimulating CARTA bus stop to bring attention to the lack-there-of across the north side of Charleston. April and team designed a simple, resilient rammed earth bench to withstand the annual flooding and a simple wood awning to shield riders from the harsh summer sun.
